The 3-stage planning process
Our showcase presents an ordered, 3-stage planning process for a business in the field of sanitary equipment. The goal is to create a 3-year strategic plan, as well as operational plans for each distribution channel which the business will attempt to execute.
In the first step, the visionary personnel translates the company's strategy into numbers. These numbers will also serve as targets in the subsequent steps of Sales and Merchandising planning.
The Sales and Merchandising plans are more detailed but have a smaller planning horizon. They are both executed in parallel and represent the viewpoints of the different business departments.
Lastly, the planned values from these streams are combined and fine-tuned into the ultimate business strategy that the company will follow closely in its daily activities.
